Mac, Password and local keyboard setting...

First time, just before to login to write this
post, I was stuck with Macbook, where
my user password in English character,
forgot to change keyboard back to English
(from Punjabi), while Close MacBook
(which I often do).
When I opened, it was asking for password,
tried 2-3 times, but failed, then I found that
keyboard layout is Punjabi (not English),
so it was not accpecting password.
I tried Keyboard Shortcut to change like
Fedora/Gnome did. (+ keys),
but it was not changing, Rebooted, but still
asking for password.

Finally I found solution, hard learning, but it
works
Press key + (also
key also w0rks).
may be helpful in very rare condition, but it is
working this way....

Punjabi Support Enable on Windows 7

Windows 7 has Unicode 5.1 Support for Punjabi,
it is very easy to enable this support on Windows.
If you take care during installation and select Punjabi
(it is Punjabi (India)), in Language list, then
it is very easy.

I have put few screenshot here to Enable Punjabi Support
Control Panel
Load the control panel by clicking on the "Start"' menu and pressing the "Control Panel" icon. Make sure you are in category view. Select the icon that says "Clock, Language and Regional Options" and then select "Region and Language"

Region and Language
Select the "Format" tab and make sure you select the option saying "English (USA)" and select "Punjabi (India)".

If you are outside India, please use "Additional Settings" and Change Currency or Select "Location" Tab to select Location.

INPUT Punjabi
Type Punjabi On Desktop
Now you can see icon near Notification area with "EN" as shown

You can use the combination ALT + SHIFT to switch between different keyboard layouts (e.g. from a English Keyboard to Gurmukhi and vice-versa).

Don't know Punjabi Keyboard?
if you are new to Punjabi input and don't know Punjabi Keyboard Layout, there is easy solution to input Punjabi "On-Screen Keyboard".
On-Screen Keyboard can be accessed by clicking on the "Start" -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Ease to Access -> On-Screen Keyboard"

I liked On-Screen Keyboard, which also has Punjabi Support,
just open Keyboard and select Punjabi from Icon (or Alt+Shift),
the you can see the Keyboard in Punjabi.

Complete Detail on Community Website.
Please share it with Punjabi, ask to read/write Punjabi (Gurmukhi) on
their Computer. Ask to Use Unicode, so that we permote our
language over web...

Maemo 5 on Desktop

I was trying to get Maemo 5 device, but
finally I got easy method to install it on
desktop machine with help of instruction
over here.

I am working to find a way to include Punjabi (and other
Indic) language to device. Few steps I completed:
Locale-Extras - Updated all Indic locale files
Indic - Project to include all i18n stuff for Indic languages
Keyboard Layout - Virtual/On-Screen Keyboard (which has no Indic support yet)

still I am not able to add my language in it, but find few things
different from my desktop machine:
/usr/share/i18n-locale-resolver/
more time required to work on this, but I have next Internet
connection in coming weeks.
This system setup on Ubuntu AMD64. Often forgot to
put variable vdso32=0 for kernel at boot time.

Intel Inside out - Now in US

Another News about Intel's GREAT Success
story to remain Big in market.
This News from US (previous from EU),
where State of New York file case against
Intel to pay money to AMD.
HP is second in line not to Do or Delay
release for AMD.
Dell as my personal experience, they are
not selling direct AMD, only through
Phone and salesman will let you know
various short-comes in AMD deals, provide
better deals in Intel only (this is India's story).

if you remember EU's fine to Intel (around 3.45 billion in May),
Intel reply them with various reasons, but final
reply from EU you can read hereLink
So, this is Intel's Inside story, US prepared
after EU, but I am not sure about my country
whether they will start find wrong business
deals or not as Intel may pay more money now
to politician or Officers than EU/US.:-)

install compare-locales (from Mozilla l10n tools)

To install compare-locales on Fedora Machine,
'easy_install' need to install, which is NOT
part of python-setuptools, for which I tried
many times to find and install, but it IS
part of python-setuptools-devel (mostly
devel packages don't have command useful
for user).

$yum install python-setuptools-devel

$easy_install compare-locales

so, now you can use this on Fedora to
compare your locale with english strings
How to use, please check Mozilla Website and Blogs

Fedora Rawhide bug for HP Touchsmart tx2z

as Default installation is not working for fedora
Rawhide installation (as posted previous post).

Finally going by proper way, I started to search
bug for this laptop, so there was two basic
bug, which helped to file a new bug
1) Linuxwacom need to Update

and
2) Not specific bug for HP wacom, but good detail

2nd Bug helped me a lot to File bug. Hope that
Fedora Developer will help me (not like Novell guy)
to complete the support for this. But all is the future.

HP Tx2z Bug filed here (HP Tx2z Touch screen is not automatically work)

Let me try BlackBerry once...

Finally Got BlackBerry Set (8520) after various
attempt Failed to fix Nokia 97. It is latest phone
with No 3G, but all other Features like
Music Player
GPRS/EDGE/Wi-fi
and other BlackBerry Feature, for which it is known far.

it is only for Airtel in India, and I have Airtel sim,
so tried, Phone is working, but Email and Messenger
Is not working, because it is need to active with Service
Provider and Sat/Sun it is not possible.

I liked the Trackpad Navigation and Multimedia Feature,
also Security, (other phone has, but not enabled by
default, but it has).

Place Call without Unlock the Screen is another feature
I liked.

you can get your (user) information on left side of screen
very easily and looks good

Keypad is quite Good, but surely you can't compare it with
Nokia N97.
Download application and without Email Setup, it seems
empty, Will update later how it behaves after getting it
activied with Aitel,

Only One Theme is provided (it is quite good), and Camera
without Flash are few more things, which I like to improve,
but this lowest cost handset, so what else can expect:)

Speed of handset (for opening and call support) is quite good
as compared to Buggy Nokia N97. Some timeN97 crash,
during call hanged (1 out of 9-10) (I have updated v12 Software,
but still problems). Nokia Service centre asked me
to Fresh install (or Flash content), but how can I do that, not
want to loose any data. I moved to BlackBerry and asked
myself 'let me try blackberry once..'

Opensuse/Novell - say 'no' to update Sax2 for Tx2z

After trying to install Fedora Rawhide,
which finally work for touch interface,

I tried to install opensuse 11.2 MileStone 7
on HP Tx2z (AMD Laptop), which failed to
detect Touch Interface, although
installation was quite easy and working
most of thing.

Sax2 failed to detect tough, even I tried to
configure myself, but failed with all tries.

Put a bug for OpenSUSE, it goes to
Novell finally. I got some quick replay
as expected, but finally refused with

"You're right. SaX2 does not support the configuration of it
and this won't change unless we receive a request by HP to do so + the appropriate hardware for testing. WONTFIX."

This not big thing if proprietary, but open-source,
this should not happen if people can help to test it.

guy provided a link for Ubuntu to try it.
Thanks for link, but not working at all:-)

HP Touch Tx2z and Fedora ...

Finally I got AMD Based Laptop and it is
Touch Screen Display, which is quite good
for Windows Vista (Pre-installed), but Windows
Vista was too slow to use (most of Junk
Softwares, thanks to HP).
Finally I installed Windows 7 RC and Speed is quite good,
but not equal to Dell Studio XPS 13 with Intel
Core 2 Duo P8600 (2.4Ghz) (HP has DDR2
and Dell has DDR3) even difference is
not big enough to feel in first look.

My Final Target to get install Fedora or Linux
on HP tx2z, first I tried Fedora 11 (x86_64), which
install quite easy and during installation pointer
moved by touching the screen, but Click
was not working.
Fedora 11 installed, pointer moved, but
Click was not working. Finally Upgrade
that to rawhide (Fedora 12 pre-release),
but that is NOT Working at all. Even wonder
was that there was no /etc/X11/xorg.conf file
at all. But GUI was working. with
system-config-display, xorg.conf file generated
To Fix the issue, I used Ubuntu Website,
where they fixed Xorg.conf file to fix issue
Following Steps I used for it

1) /usr/share/hal/fdi/policy/20thirdparty/10-wacom.fdi

wacom

Changed to

2) N-trig Symlink
edit (create New file)

and add following line

KERNEL=="event*", ATTRS{idVendor}=="1b96", ATTRS{idProduct}=="0001", SYMLINK="input/n-trig"

3) Finally my 'xorg.conf' (/etc/X11/xorg.conf) is here

Windows Vista Home Prem and Langpack – compare to Linux

Even I found Punjabi (Indian) Langpack for Windows Vista after a year of its release, but finally failed to install it . Windows Don’t know

how to install it (while run first time), later it use ‘Language pack installer’ to install, while using that, it showing Dialog Window

“Select Languages to install” and not able to select LIP_pa-IN.mlc,

even I extract mlc pack, then also it is not working.

What was issue?

64-bit, you can’t  install it on Windows 64-bit version at all

Message is below on Website

This website is too bad that I can’t change webpage in English proper, while I select “English” and press Change, it is showing

me following

to text is in Sinhala, instead of English.

So what Microsoft is doing, I don’t know. and Why I m not

using my Language if I have 64-bit version?

What is MUI?

Multilingual User Interface Pack (MUI)->MUIs require a license to be used and are only available with Windows Vista Ultimate and Windows Vista Enterprise.

What is LIP?

LIPs (Language Interface Pack)  are freely available to download

LIPs require at least one parent language

Following South Asian/Indian Languages are available:

Assamese

Bengali (India)

Bengali (Bangladesh

Gujarati

Hindi

Kannada

Konkani

Malayalam

Marathi

Nepali

Oriya

Punjabi

Sinhala

Tamil

Telugu

Thai

Urdu

--------

Good Languages list, but it is hard to use and very limited

as only 32-bit user can use, then also, it is not completed.

So, Windows is no where to compare with Language Support

for Indian Language with Linux. Compare to Windows

(for Indian Language Support):

1) Installer in Indian Language (Complete Translation)

2) Default you will get MUI with all Linux. You can

change language anytime

3) Language Installation and remove is very easy. With

Single install Keyboard layout, translation available.

Windows XP mode with Windows 7 available

Today morning got news about available Windows XP mode for Windows 7 RC. Download and installed it. Total download is about 500MB.

by chance today  I need to create Punjabi Jhelum Keyboard  layout for Windows XP machine for friend. So, it is great helpful at the last.

Windows7withWindowsXPMode

Windows XP is running very smooth in Virtual PC and Over all experience is quite good as compared to Linux Based Virt-Manager. As I have not to press Alt+Ctrl each time to get out from virtual machine. Starting/Shuting down sometime seems slow.

I need to install Punjabi Language for my work, but when I tried to enable support for Punjabi, virtual machine was asking for installation disk for Windows XP SP3, which is not actually available. So there is not solution for me to install my Language till now:-(

Using automatic login with Fedora

I am using Gnome as desktop f rom some time, while not

big fan of gnome. GDM (gnome display manager) is

default manager. When it is changed to new source code,

there is not Graphical option to configure automatic

login with this. I was trying various time to search

automatic login feature (but I am not command line

user or expert, so not like to change configuration).

finally I got a solution for this. to do this you have

to do following steps:

1) Change GDM->KDE

2) change KDE configuration for Automatic login

3) by KDM, change desktop to Gnome (if you want to

use gnome)

1) easy method is to remove gdm with all dependency

$yum remove gdm

while make sure kdm installed on your machine

2) run systemsettings->Advanced->Login Manager

after application opened, go to Convenience (7),

select “Enable Auto-Login

User “”

“Lock session”

3) reboot your machine and you will be auto login

with selected user. it will default go to KDE, but

you can use gnome by Logout, select “Session” and

select “Gnome” and afterward you will be automatic

login to gnome session.

there can be various way to do this, but as I like use only

Graphical Interface for most configuration, so I tried this.

ya, kdm package need to install to work this, which will

pull some kde application.

presto - Real save to Network bill

with Fedroa 11, I installed 'presto' and
start using on my home computer. It works
really well. Today first time, I saw its real work.
------
| 259 MB 04:56
Presto reduced the updates to 35 M from 259 M which is a 87% savings.
Package(s) data still to download: 1.8 M
---------

Total Download Size for Packages: 261MB
with Presto:
Download delta size: 35 M
+ 1.8MB

so finally I have to download only ~37MB, which
is quite small as compared to real size of packages.

How to use that:
just install following pacakges:

Fedora 11 - New phase for Indic Language

Fedora 11 got release last week and it
is best Operating system for Indic language.
When I said best, there are various reasons
for it.

(*) Live CD - One live CD for multiple languages
Download Live CD

Just download a single Live CD, boot your
system with it and Please don't forgot to
Press "Languages" Tab at Login screen.
Yes, you can get various Language including
Indic. Nepali, Maithili, Urdu are new language
available for Fedora 11. All other
languages, like Assamese, Bengali,
Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi,
Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Sinhala
are already there.

No need to make and distribute separate
Live CD for each language, just select any
language and you can get everything ready
with that.
I tested my language Punjabi, while
selecting, Interface, Input Method are
working like pre-installed Punjabi OS.

For more information regading Fedora,
please check
Fedora 11

(*) Ibus - New Input Method with new feature:
Till fedora 11, default input method (to type
language), was SCIM, which was advanced with
various features, but logout-login again with
every change was really bad, but no worries,
now Fedora 11 has Ibus, with which you can
just change anything on fly (like Add new keymap,
language, or anything for your language) and just
start type. Yes, it is working
at the most you need to 'restart' you
ibus only and it works (really!). Any
change for language you and just use it.
It is quite good feature.
Interface of Ibus setting is quite simple and
small.

(*) Multimedia -
Fedora 11 is ready with all multimedia
feature, just install RPM Fusion package and
you don't need anything more after to add to
run mp3, wma or video files.

(*) If you are found of KDE Desktop, Fedora also
provide KDE Live CD
KDE Live CD
KDE
Live CD

Get Fedora 11 Update...

Today after Fresh install rawhide, there was
problem while updating package. Speed was
too slow to update, While 'fedora-rawhide.repo'
REPO was pointing to US server (which ideally fast)
after few time, I noticed that it is using
'fedora.repo' and 'fedora-updates.repo' REPO also,
which is not directly link to rawhide. During
investigation, I found following thing:

1) fedora-rawhide.repo - Rawhide packages
2) fedora.repo - Also contains link to Rawhide packages, which is not under
'../release/11', but '.../development/{ARCH}/os/'
3) fedora-update.repo - Contains Updated packages for Fedora 11,
which were newer than Rawhide release packages

kdebase and other kde packages provide this
difference.

rawhide -> kde-4.2.2*
fedora.repo - Just using rawhide repo
fedora-update.repo - > kde-4.2.3 (which is newer than rawhide)

So, If you want to use latest package, specially in India, where
local mirror is too slow, then just replace it with
some US rawhide 'baseurl' and it will work fast and you
will have latest package from 'Fedora 11 Update'

Nvidia Driver for Fedora on Dell xps

as per last post, On Dell Studio XPS 13
kmod-nvidia was making small problem
to hibernate and other issue,
searching for solution. Need to

download latest Nvidia Driver

I installed "NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-180.51-pkg2.run"
packages and it helped to fix me the problem.
it need to install without running X server.
Alt +F1 (or F2/F3) is not only working.
'init 3' also not working. need to remove
/tmp/.Xorg* files and then only driver started.
It required kernel libraries and then
complete automatically for it.

'init 5' command started new interface
and it looks good than 'kmod-nvidia'
driver somehow. Following problem fixed

1) Hibernate working fine

2) Sensor for GPU is working fine
(4th with Red strip is Nvidia - 62C is too much)
3) Display seems Good to eye then pervious

4) System->Preference-> 'Nvidia X Server Setting'

Dell XPS 13 and Fedora

Day before yesterday I got one Dell studio XPS 13
Machine
with
intel core 2 duo
2.4. 3M L2, FSB 1066Mhz, NVIDIA® Hybrid SLI graphics,
4GB
1067MHz DDR3, Slot Load 8X max DVD+/-RW, Backlit Keyboard.

While Feodra 10 is latest release, I want rawhide 64-bit (29April2009 build) to use.
Installation was quick (remove various packages) and smooth. After
install,

*) graphics was working only 1280x768 (machine has 1280x800).
(fixed with help of Fedora Solved site)
Machine has 2 Graphics care (detected also), but working only
GeForce 9400M G, (while
256MB NVIDIA® GeForce® 9500M-GE is not used)

*) Sound was working without any issue.

*) First warning after login, I got following error "Harddisk is failing..."

(Default installation provide 'gnome-disk-utility', which notify this error)

It was (and is) showing that airflow-temperature was more then 'worse'.
I was not able to do anything for this:-(

*) Webcam is working with cheese

*) Hibernate Failed to get X server (with kmod-nvidia driver) and
need to reboot
Note: Nivida Proprietary driver (NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-180.51-pkg2.run) help to work hibernate (check later post).

*) Battery status (with gnome-power-manger) is not working. It was not showing Battery discharge/charge status or Plug or un-plug A/C adopter.
Fixed: After first time complete discharge, now it is working fine. and showing
status correctly

Overall it was working fine with Linux. Graphics fix is easy, Hibernate (use nvidia 's driver),
Battery status notification (fixed) are Major issue with (kmod-nvidia) driver.

Thunderbird Profile Migration: Linux to Mac

yesterday I need to migrate data from
Linux to Mac machine, while biggest problem was
Email Client configration. I have two gmail
account configurated in Linux Machine with
Thunderbird and don't like to configure account
and make 17-19 Filters again. I was very sure about
linux migration from one release (or distribution) to
another, but never tried Linux2Mac Thunderbird
before.

so, yesterday was test day for Migration Linux2Mac
thunderbird data.
just scp'ed content from (linux) ~/.thunderbird/* to
(mac) ~Library/Thunderbird/

but simple pressing thunderbird icon was not working,
but showing error like "Already running..."

then checked profiles.ini file in ~/Library/Thunderbird

aman$ cat profiles.ini //from Linux Machine
[General]
StartWithLastProfile=1

[Profile0]
Name=default
IsRelative=1
Path=6x78h8j9.default

aman$ cat profiles.ini-mac //that was old Thunderbird profile on Mac Machine (just before scp from linux)
[General]
StartWithLastProfile=1

[Profile0]
Name=default
IsRelative=1
Path=Profiles/76c9imkz.default

So Difference was between PATH, where Mac machine has
Profiles Directory, but Linux don't have. It was easy to hack
and after fix, run thunderbird and it was working fine,
sorting, filter and everything was just Normal.

Transifex Update - New changes...

Just got mail from fedora Translation project about
transifex update and tried to update few files. It
changed quite lot and those are very helpful.
*) With Single Language Page, I can can download
file for my language (that is not big thing), and
Update from single page (That is Really big thing)

This is very helpful as for old method I have to
got different page to upload page.

What issue I felt is that after Upload Page moved
to "Module" page from Same page. I would like
stay on Language Page, so that download and upload
more file for different module.
Anyway this is big thing and hope to get this working
on gnome project soon...

Nazi Reply got...

my ssh key is updated. I replied back
to gnome admin regarding
key replacement time (which we can think to improve)
but Nazi reply back to me like:

"We're all just volunteers here, and we're doing as best as we can and
try to be as helpful as we can. Even for users who did not bother to
back up their own sensitive data."

* If they are volunteer, then "What AM I?"

* ya, I lost my key, my mistake, but Is it not Very Harsh and hard reply
even I was trying to help them to improve if possible.

It was not VERY unexpected as I know something about NEW Nazi group:-)

openSUSE to Fedora 10....

various time, I tried fedora and opensuse,
most of time I found opensuse installation quite
easy, but with Fedora 10, it changed (I felt)
Fedora 10 asked too less questions and work
more quickly. and for desktop, everything
worked well without any configuration,
even sound (which was not working in
openSUSE 11.1). Overall Fedora seems
faster to start, but shutdown is slower.
Finally working on Gnome, instead of
KDE. It seems faster and easy to use.
Hibernate has same issue (Keyboard
not working) in Fedora. I search for some bug, but
get no proper reponse about it.

Wrong bug for issue: Fedora Bug
Doubtd bug: Fedora bug 479504
New bug filed: Bug 490247 - Keyboard Not working

Project Resposne Time: ssh key replacement...

I lost my SSH key with hard disk failure.
now it is time to replace with various Projects.
I have following list and track time to replace key

Project ......... Report .......1st Response.........Replaced
----------------------------------------
Gnome ......... 11Mar ........yet not ............NO
Fedora*........ 11Mar ......11Mar......... Fixed (same day)
KDE ..............11Mar......11Mar......... Fixed ( hours)
Mozilla.......... 11Mar.........Yet Not ......... No
----------------------------------------

* Fedora has account page, where most easy to replace key (as a
translator, it is not useful to replace key)

so, KDE is quick (super fast) to update and response.

FYI: how to update ssh key in various Projects:

Gnome: send mail to accounts@gnome.org address with key, username. (last replacement took 5 days.)

KDE: New Bugzilla Page: KDE sysadmin request as Bug
(thanks

Fedora: Login to Fedora Account page and
Edit detail->Upload new key.

Mozilla: File a bug to replace key like: Bug 378597 (took almost 1 month)

Update later when it all projects updated.

GCompris Translation - Bad foot-prints

I got mail from gnome mailing list regarding
"[Announce Release 8.4.9]". It included Punjabi
Translation, just would like to search what it is
actually. As it is part of gnome, so expecting
translation to check. It was transliteration only,
second file failed to pass 'msgfmt' check. Translation
was really bad and I hope to work with developer
to use proper svn translation from gnome.
But Again CDAC is moving its hard-core
'Govt' way. It is not just bad, but worse foot-print,
which their followers are following again and again...

sound problem (fixed) - ASUS M3A78-EM

After installation of openSUSE 11.1, sound was not
tested. Today when run, it shows error like no
sound card working. While using yast, it failed to
configure it with error "module snd_hda_intel"
not found. Various forum, mailing list, there
was various method, but my problem was strange
with 'module not found'. I was not able to find
how to find module.
------
$lspci
00:14.2 Audio device: ATI Technologies Inc SBx00 Azalia (Intel HDA)
------
Finally I find that alsa-driver package was not
installed on system from Alsa Project.

Download, Compile and install.
finally
$modprobe snd_hda_intel
works and with reboot sound works fine.
later found package "alsa-driver-kmp-pae" for same
work. This was small fix after I found pacakge:-)

some Linux Support for AMD System

I have AMD X4 Phenom Processor with ASUS M3A78-EM
Mainboard, ATI Radeon HD 2600.
All things are latest and I was very confident
about Linux Installation.
I was waiting for SSD Drive, but actually not
able to get it anyway, so SATA continue.
First installed Windows 7 (Beta). It was easy to
install and most of hardware works fine without
Drivers. While Install openSUSE 11.1 x86_64,
it started, but failed to add repo. I googled
about issue, but no solution. Finally used
KDE live CD (opensuse), but again it failed with
same issue. So I installed Windows Vista 64-bit
and installed openSUSE 11.1 i386. It worked anyway,
while changed 2 things:
1 - No 200MB different parition as Windows 7 Created
2 - I reduced /home from 250GB

Finally Linux boot and I search for few information.
ASUS provide LAN/Sound/SATA Driver for Linux.
On Support/Driver Website, you have option to select Linux:-)
Specially for Suse Linux 10* for SATA. This was
thing with required for x86_64 installation, but
now I would not like to go back for installation.

Next Thing was looking for AMD/ATI support

AMD Provide here few applications including CPU Info and
Cpufreq Driver (All other are for Windows).

CPUInfo Application has only RPM ( CPUInfo-2_2_0-AMD) for
RHEL5/SELS10.2/10.3, but I run rpm and works fine on opensuse 11.1
as it confains only 1 command ( /usr/local/sbin/CPUInfo)
and few docs.

CPU-freq Driver is failed to compile on machine with some technical
problem (programming, which I don't want to solve). Developer
not mention any command to recompile kernel (I think it will
good idea to add)

ATI provide Proprietary Linux Drivers (non-open source)
for x86_64 and x86. I have not
installed any of this yet.

May it not be big thing at all, but I was happy to get driver on Motherboard
CD and some software on Vendor website, only Sad part was
32-bit linux, while never want to.

why need reference from unrelated project...

I was following OpenOffice Mailing list (l10n-dev)
due to various good and bad reasons. Various
people joins project, they give reference that
he/she want to start this language or want
to join language, they simple introduce themselves and
help by joining team.
But from last few months, Various Indic people started
join project and provide very big big reference like
I am doing gnome , am doing firefox, am doing this ....
why? if you want to join a project, why need to refer
other project and why do you think that you should be
there if in other projects?
Inside of working with project team, which already working,
the mail is something like to "I want to do that, please will
you quit or want a kick?". (not all but few mails are like that
only, not want to refer anyboday)
This may not a big issue yet, but will they able to maintain
later with this big number of projects? It seems crazy,
how will you work as leader if you have not able with
as team member...
let us wait and watch ...

Linux Phone Manager and My Phone

I used windows for my Phone to take backup and
update contacts. (This will be one of two
reasons to use, other is Phone Software Update).

Today I found a application on linux. It was quite cool.
Command Line based "GAMMU".
it worked better than my expections, Even
my Nokia 5800 is not working other than "Info"
mode, but N82 is fine.

Gammu has a Phone Database.
I put my entry here and
filled a bug here

Starting response is good and hope to fix in coming version.

Yes, it has GUI ("Wammu"),
Contact Editor and Other Screenshot

It has Windows GUI also (not used yet).

Hope it will fix soon and able to work with Nokia 5800.
